As The Golf Institute founder, Damon is a Class A PGA Member with 15 years of instructional experience and 25 years of experience playing the game. His passion is sharing his knowledge of the game with those who seek to improve. He selected the Motion Analysis Technology by TaylorMade (MAT-T) system to be the centerpiece of The Golf Institute because the benefits it brings to the Golfer-Instructor partnership. He brings expertise in all facets of instruction including full swing video analysis utilizing the latest version of the V1 software as well as the ‘Swingvision’ capabilities of his Casio high- speed digital camera, short game, and the Maryland Puttingzone Academy. As a TPI Certified Golf Fitness Professional, he provides analysis on the physical requirements for good golf and will also attend to all your club fitting needs.
Some of his main influences are: Brian Manzella, Geoff Mangum, Michael Jacobs, and Rob Neal, Damon’s passion for golf extends to playing and he has won several events in the Mid Atlantic PGA Section - as such, he believes playing lessons are an integral part of an instructional curriculum.

FRED RYDER III, PGA
Fred is Class-A PGA Member with over 18 years’ experience as a Golf Professional. Yet his ties to the game extend beyond professionalism. His family is strongly rooted within the field with his father, uncles, and cousin all serving as Class A-PGA Professionals. Fred developed his passion for golf at a very young age and he turned that passion into a career. He now shares his passion and experience with his students. Moreover Fred constantly updates and expands his knowledge of instruction by readily attending seminars, PGA teaching summits and club fitting workshops. He is a certified club fitter with several major vendors and has extensive experience using motion capture swing analysis video and Flight Scope technology. His teaching philosophy is to focus on core fundamentals and the individuals’ natural range of motion to create solid and consistent swing mechanics. Fred’s passion for the game isn’t just in teaching, he is also an accomplished player winning several events in the Middle Atlantic PGA Section. Thus he feels very strongly that instruction must be a combination of on course play and the lesson tee. His main influences are Butch Harmon, Mike Adams, Bob Toski and Dave Stockton.

PARKER PARSONS, PGA
An active Class-A PGA Member, Parker Parsons has more than 22 yearsof experience. He has attended countless PGA teaching summits, fittingWorkshops and seminars to hone his skills. He is well versed in the technical fitting cycles of all top vendors and specializes in TaylorMade’s 3D Motion Capture System (MAT-T) and Flight Scope. Prior to joining The Golf Institute team, Parker provided a high level of quality instruction to the memberships at such exclusive clubs as Green Spring Valley H.C., The Elkridge Club and The Breakers Resort Palm Beach, FL.

Instructor/Club Fitter (Turf Valley)
Justin has 13 years of experience at multiple facilities and has great knowledge of the golf swing. He communicates this knowledge effectively to all levels of golfers. He started his professional career working at Baltimore Country Club, spent one season to P.B. Dye Golf Club, then moved on to Hayfields Country Club for 11 seasons as an Assistant Professional and Teaching Professional.
Justin attended Campbell University in Buies Creek North Carolina studying in the PGM program. He also graduated from MBC&S in Maryland. He is nearing the end of his process in finalizing his class A status with the PGA. His mission is to help his students become their own best teachers by achieving their short-term goals with an eye on producing long-term results. Justin lives in Towson with his wife Ann Margaret.

David MacKenzie is the founder of Golf State of Mind and he lives in Washington, D.C. David is an expert on the Mental Game of Golf, Short Game and Putting – those areas that are the most effective in lowering scores.
David has been a coach for almost 15 years and has taught every level from beginner to Tour Pro with huge success.
David is a scratch golfer and attended the University of St. Andrews in Scotland, UK.
